Experience Real Bali

Experience the real Bali by staying at Nike House! This accommodation features one air-conditioned bedroom, living room with ceiling fan, and porch located in a traditional Balinese compound. The bedroom features one queen-size bed with nightstand and wardrobe. The attached bathroom includes a hot & cold water shower, sink and toilet. The living area has a comfortable couch, table, desk a flat-screen TV & DVD player, and a dispenser with filtered water. In addition, there is a lovely garden that includes a traditional Balinese bale (covered sitting area) for reading and relaxing. The family's beautiful temple area is located directly across from the accommodation. The accommodation includes breakfast and wi-fi. Lunch and dinner are available at Warung Nike located at the front of the family's compound.

Nike House is located in the family compound of Made Kabyoet, the owner of Warung Nike, in Yeh Tengah village, located approximately 15 minutes from Ubud (see map). There are bicycles and motorbikes available for rent, or you can hire an experienced driver to take you on half or full day tours. Bike tours and trekking tours of the surrounding villages are also available.

 

Nike House gives you the opportunity to experience true Bali living in a compound with a Balinese family, so please note that there will be some noise from the family and surrounding village. There are also chickens and friendly dogs in the family's compound. If you are lucky, you will be staying at Nike House during a Balinese holiday and be able to attend a real Bali ceremony, which is quite different from the tourist performances available in Ubud and other tourist areas.
